Jamie Munson is Lead Pastor of Mars Hill Church in Seattle. Born and raised in the state of Montana, Jamie moved to Seattle as a 19-year-old non-Christian. He met Jesus at Mars Hill not long after the church began, and started serving as its first intern.

Over the next thirteen years, Jamie worked almost every job at Mars Hill, growing in leadership and responsibility along the way. In 2007, he became Lead Pastor, responsible for the senior leadership team, church operations, strategic planning, and the overall mission of the church.

Jamie received his Masters in Missional Leadership from the Resurgence Training Center in 2010; he has served as President of the local Chamber of Commerce; and he has been recognized by The Church Report as one of the Top 10 Church Business Administrators in the country. Jamie lives in Seattle with his wife, Crystal, and their four children: Caleb, Kara, Orin, and Haley.

Elise is one of the pastors and co-teachers of North Coast’s college ministry, the Jordan, and has a passion for leadership development and healthy teams. The Jordan has an average weekly attendance of 200 students (with over 80% involved in Growth Groups) and a thriving team of over 100 weekly volunteers. In addition, Elise has led several teams of 12-15 students to do missional work in India with Oasis Trust of London and Australia with Campus Crusade for Christ.

Elise has also been able to expand her sphere of influence as a professor in the Organizational Leadership program at National University and guest lecturer at Chapman University.  She has been instrumental in creating community partnerships for students to gain valuable work experience and offer free services to non-profits. Before going into full-time ministry, Elise learned a lot in the corporate world as a manager for the music division of Walden Media.

Ministry veteran, Pastor Chris Mavity joined the North Coast Church leadership team in 1998.  His first assignment was to “create an overflow room that was a reward.”  Instead, Chris developed the first “Video Worship Venue,” a preferred worship environment that spawned the modern day Multi-Site ministry movement.

Chris is also an instrumental leader of North Coast’s Sermon-Based Small Group ministry, serving five years as the lead pastor.  This vital network of home fellowship groups is the hub of the ministry at North Coast.  It’s the place where the weekend crowd becomes a church, with an 80% participation ratio of our adult attendees on a weekly basis.  In his role as Director of the North Coast Training Network, he’s consulted with and coached ministry teams of all shapes, sizes and locations in small group & multi-site ministry development.

Dave has been on staff at North Coast Church since 1990 and is presently the Pastor of Growth Group Ministries (aka Home Fellowships). North Coast is known for maintaining 80% of its adult attendance throughout its 25 year history of having Growth Groups. Under Dave’s leadership during the past seven years the Growth Group Ministry has grown by 50%. He enjoys time with friends and a family, mountain biking, a good book on leadership, and almost any adventure outdoors. Dave and his wife Koreena have been married for 19 years and have three children 16, 14, & 13.

JD Larson is the Campus Pastor at North Coast Church’s Carlsbad campus.  He recruited a team and launched this new off-site campus on March 14, 2010.  Almost 750 people showed up for opening Sunday, and over 700 have stuck and are still attending.  JD has a passion for taking a big church and working with his team to give it a small church “feel.”  He has a background in camping ministry and has now been on staff with North Coast for over 8 years.  Since then, JD has served as North Coast’s College Pastor, a Growth Group station–in-life pastor, and has launched and led two venues at North Coast’s Vista campus.  Recruiting teams and building leaders is what makes JD tick at work.  At home, he is all about his wife Linda and their two teenage sons.

Travis has been on staff at North Coast for 14 years, and has served as one of the Junior High Pastor for 10 years.  He leads a ministry team of 10 staff members and 90 volunteers, ministering to nearly 300 students each week.  Travis’ focus on diligently training adults and students for work in the ministry field has led to a constant waiting list to be a junior high volunteer (and an 85% average staff retention rate).
